Kavalan Selection Virgin Oak Description
This single malt whisky was distilled at the renowned King Car distillery in Taiwan, home of the Kavalan single malt, and matured in a single virgin oak cask. Selected exclusively for The Whisky Shop and our customers, this single cask expression is presented at a natural cask strength of 59.4% abv, free from artificial colouring and chill filtration.
Expect notes of melted butter, fudge toffee and oak spice from this limited edition.

Kavalan single malt is produced at King Car distillery in Yilan county, Taiwan. The single malt takes its name from the indigenous people of northeastern Taiwan, the Kavalan. Whisky matures much quicker in the warm subtropical climate of Taiwan than it does in Scotland, meaning that the younger expressions are comparable in maturity to older Scotch whiskies.
