Filey Bay Flagship Marrying Strength

Described by Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery as their Flagship single malt with the volume turned up! Before reducing Flagship to 46% abv for bottling, the distillery allows it to harmonise for long periods at what they affectionately term marrying strength – somewhere in between cask and bottling strength. It’s quite a happy proof for the drinker too, amplifying the whisky’s softly fruity, honeyed character without the alcoholic bite of uncut spirit, yet still allowing for dilution. Crafted entirely from the distillery’s own estate-grown barley and bottled at 50.1% abv, natural colour and non chill filtered. Proudly made both in and of Yorkshire.

Fresh and bright on the nose, with clean-cut, honey-drizzled apples and citrus. Richer orchard fruits and caramels on the palate, lifted by orange and lemon zest, before more fresh citrus notes brighten the long, warm finish.
