Filey Bay 10th Anniversary Special Release

A very special one-off bottling from the proudly field-to-bottle Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery, celebrating their first 10 years of milling, mashing, fermenting, distilling and bottling single malt whisky on their farm in North Yorkshire.

The edition is a happy marriage of whiskies spanning the distillery’s first decade of production and, remarkably, includes liquid from their very first cask filled. In fact, the vast majority of the small batch is drawn from spirit distilled and laid down in ex-Madeira casks during Spirit of Yorkshire’s earliest years. A milestone, one-of-a-kind bottling for the distillery.

One of just 2016 bottles – a celebration of Cask 001’s filling date of 14^th June 2016 – matured in a mixture of Madeira and bourbon casks and bottled at 49.9% abv, free from artificial colour or chill filtration.

Rich and fruity with notes of vanilla slice, wine gums, ripe stone fruits and honey-drizzled biscuits unfurling before a gently spicy finish.
