Kavalan Solist Amontillado

This Taiwanese Single Malt from the Kavalan Solist series is matured in Amontillado sherry casks. Lighter than Oloroso but darker than Fino, Amontillado is a kind of dry sherry that brings toasted almond and hazelnut characteristics to this single cask whisky that was named World’s Best Single Cask Single Malt at the 2016 World Whiskies Awards.The nose is rich and fruity with a sweetness layered with walnut, almond, toffee and a touch of oak. The palate is more exotic with soft sherry and hints of caramel. The finish is long with gentle pepper and nutty notes.
